In a collaboration with the William Morris Gallery, we have created a collection of socks inspired by the Victorian artist's design and ethos - the perfect modern-day fusion of beautiful designs and the finest traditions of British manufacturing.
'Blackthorn' is inspired by a hedge that grows around Sleeping Beauty's castle, forming the thick, impenetrable bramble that hides the magic castle from the unworthy. Although 'Blackthorn' is a later pattern, Morris's hand is evident. Thrushes, waxwings and small birds caught his attention early on, as we met in the Strawberry Thief print.
